What we promise, and what we will not pretend.

You send photos of a piece of furniture and pick which of the ten covered models you think it is. We read those photos against that model's marker checklist and publish what we see.

The free first read names the single most decisive marker your photos carry, and says whether what is visible is consistent with known genuine examples, inconsistent with them, or insufficient to tell, with the strength of that evidence.

The €29 full report works the whole checklist: a finding for every marker, a separate list of what we could not check and why, the dated price band, and lines you can send the seller.

This is an evidenced opinion read from photographs. It is not a certificate, not a stamp of authenticity, and not a legal or insurance appraisal. Nobody handles the piece.

We cannot verify where an image came from. Most phones and every messaging app strip the file data that would say. We check what is left, we ask whether the picture reads as a photograph of a real object at all, and we print what we found on your case page — but a determined seller can send a picture of something other than the piece you would receive.

Photographs cannot carry every marker. Weight, smell, the sound of a joint, the inside of a frame and anything hidden by upholstery stay unknown. Every report names what it could not check.

"Consistent with known genuine examples" means the markers we could read match what a genuine piece shows. It is not a statement that your piece is genuine, and it does not rule out a copy good enough to fool the markers your photos happened to show.

Price bands are read from public results at auction and on resale sites, on the date shown in the report. A band is not a valuation and not an offer.

We cover ten models. If your piece is not one of them we say so rather than guess.

The decision to buy, to walk away or to negotiate is yours. We give you evidence to argue with, not a warranty.

If your photos cannot carry a verdict, the €29 door does not open. Instead we name the exact shots we need and you can add them to the same case for free, as many times as it takes.

We do not sell a verdict on images that cannot be tied to a physical object. If the pictures read as generated, rendered, retouched beyond use, taken off a screen, cropped from a catalogue, or already submitted on another case, we say so, no verdict is issued and the €29 door stays shut.

If a report is paid for and still comes out thin — an inconclusive verdict, or too little of the checklist readable — the report says so at the top and we send the €29 back on request, or run it again for nothing once you send better shots.

Write to us and a person answers. Refunds are made by hand to the card that paid.

There is no account and no password. A case is a long, unguessable link. Anyone holding that link can see the case, so treat it as private and share it only with a seller or client you mean to show.

We store the photos you upload, the model you picked, the readings we produce, and — if you pay — the payment reference and the email address the checkout collected. Nothing else.

Photos and readings are kept so your link keeps working. Ask us to delete a case and we delete it, photos included, and confirm.

The card payment is handled by Stripe through NanoCorp. We never see or store your card details.

The site counts visits and a handful of product events (a check started, a free read shown, a checkout clicked) so we know which models people bring. No advertising trackers, no selling anything to anyone.

Your photos are read by an automated checker under our marker checklists, and by us when we look at a case. They are not published, and not used to advertise anything.

€29 for one full report, or €199 for a prepaid pack of ten. One payment each time. Nothing renews, nothing subscribes, there is nothing to cancel.

Prices include any tax due. You get a receipt from the checkout at the address you enter there.

A report is delivered to the case link within a minute of payment in the normal case. If it fails to build, the money moved first and we say so on the page: write to us and we finish it or refund it.

The marker checklists are written and reviewed by a photographer who designs and restores high-end furniture and has had these pieces apart on a workbench.

We claim no affiliation with Herman Miller, Vitra, Knoll, Fritz Hansen, Carl Hansen, Cassina, Louis Poulsen, Flos or any other maker. Model names are used to say which object is being checked.
